Botanicals 

I began making the botanical prints for an exhibition “Fragile Dependencies,” which highlighted environmental concerns in the work of five artists in the greater New York area.  In my digital prints, I invented the plants, and partnered them with stones somewhat arbitrarily, as a gardener as much as a collector of stones. I worked the tendrils of roots around stones to illustrate a very specific poignancy I felt about plants when uprooting them, and displacing them as they grabbed whatever of the earth had held them on place.
